Nishiyama Kiyoshi - Nishiyama Kiyoshi Shashin Gashu - 1926

Nishiyama was born in Tokyo in 1893. In 1921 he started to work in a photographic supply store in Nihonbashi and founded an amateur film club in the same year. He subsequently met Fukuhara Shinzo and was invited to hold his first solo exhibition at Shiseido in 1925. The present book is his first publication and a beautiful example of geijutsu photography from the late Taisho period.
