Eadweard Muybridge - Animal Locomotion - Large portfolio of 100 plates - 1960's edition

Folio - over 15"" - 23"" tall. 14 x 20.5 inches - A rare portfolio reproducing one hundred plates from Muybridge's monumental work ""Animal Locomotion"". The plates are high quality half-tone/offset prints on quality matte paper. While the paper used is smaller than the original prints the images themselves very closely match the size of the images of the original prints. Therefore the margins around the images are not as large as the originals. The plates are in fine condition. The portfolio box (green cloth with white label) is worn and rubbed.
